This site presents multi-media cases that highlight the challenges that educators and policy-makers face in the design and implementation of technology:

(1) students as consumers versus producers of technology and

(2) single-sex versus integrated approaches to technology education.

Policy Issues:
As a consultant, you assess the gender gap in technology education in a school district and make recommendations on how the district could design effective policies that promote gender equity.

Design Issues:
As a consultant, you collaborate with designers on the creation of a literacy-based technology product. After examining the strategic issues, you are asked to determine whether the product should be geared towards a single-sex audience or if it should be a co-educational product
